Geminal 1

This piece is one half of Geminal (diptych), a 200 x 150 cm light drawing on paper, first shown in the solo exhibition Geminal at Gallery Oksasenkatu 11 in Helsinki. The hand-drawn pattern was inspired by plant cells — tiny structures that multiply by division and have the remarkable ability to harness energy from the sun. The work reflects this endless process of growth. During the exhibition, the artwork was lit naturally by sunlight during the day and by electric light at night.
